Visual Arts – Kindergarten – Grade 8
I began teaching on a voluntary basis at MSOS in the fall of 2018 for a jewelry making elective for the middle school once a cycle. I stepped in as the permanent art teacher in January of 2019. My husband is a retired military and I have lived in the state of Hawaii (between here and the big island) for about 15 years now. I have two teenagers, Hayden, who attended MSOS in 7-8 grades, and Katy who was here for her 8th grade year. Hayden is now a junior at Kaiser and Katy is a freshman at Sacred Hearts Academy. We have two cats, Lilikoi and Purr-mione (think Hermione from Harry Potter!) six funny chickens, and two beta fish.
I love greeting the students each morning as it helps us all start our days off with a smile and a positive attitude. I love art and feel that I truly have the best job a person could ask for. I am blessed to do art with wonderful children all day every day! What more could I possibly ask for!
