Embark on a captivating journey into the world of robotics with our Summer LEGO Robotics Mayan Adventure, tailored for fourth through eighth-grade students! In this hands-on program, participants will unleash their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technological prowess as they design and build their own robots using LEGO Mindstorms kits. Guided by experienced instructors, students will learn the fundamentals of programming, engineering principles, and teamwork in an exciting and collaborative environment. From constructing robots that navigate mazes to tackling real-world challenges, this program offers a dynamic and interactive experience that combines STEM education with the thrill of building and coding. We will join Evan and his archaeologist uncle as they explore a Mayan pyramid complete with traps and treasures. We will learn an engineering design methodology that will teach us about the motors and sensors and allow us to build and program robots to navigate the pyramid, defeat the traps and solve the mystery of King Ixtua’s tomb.
