By focusing on the themes of learning, serving and leading, Catholic schools prepare children to succeed by using their God-given talents to the fullest throughout their lives. Catholic Schools Week offers an opportunity for students to explore the many life paths that enable them to use their talents well in the service of God and others. At Mary, Star of the Sea School this means creating a “Living Saints Museum,” writing notes of appreciation to clergy and religious leaders, and donating food for the Next Step Shelter. Also, on this day students and teachers received a special Throat Blessing for the feast of St. Blaise.
