On November 24, MSOS parishioners and students gathered at the 8:15 mass to celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King, a day to honor and publicly live out faith in Jesus Christ as Lord of the universe and the Church alongside National Youth Day in conjunction.
The day began with a student-hosted mass hosted by the school. It was wonderful to witness over 40 students attend the mass and participate in various roles including lecturing and ushering. The school choir joined the church 8:15 choir in beautiful hymn and Father Frankie blessed all the youth present at the conclusion of the mass.
Several parishioners and students participated in the campus-wide procession to honor Christ our King. Complimentary refreshments were served by our Knights of Columbus as well.
MSOS Youth and Young Adult Minister Karen Loebl organized fun games and activities, including a jump house, dunk tank, soccer, basketball, and a chess tournament for children to enjoy. A special thank you to both our parents and parishioners for assisting with the event.
