The TechNet Indo-Pacific is a large conference where military, government, and tech industry leaders come together to discuss technology and security issues specific to the Indo-Pacific region. AFCEA is one of the co-sponsors. It’s Educational Foundation provides incentives, opportunities and assistance to students and teachers engaged in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
The AFCEA Educational Foundation awarded grants to our FabLab department and a scholarship to one of our alumni.
For the past few years, Mr. Marsh has set up a booth at the conference to showcase our FabLab, bringing students to represent our school. This year’s demo featured a 3D-printed ghost, made with one of the machines purchased through the grant.
This event also connected two MSOS alumnae who were buddies once at school.
