MSOS Outdoor Court Blessing

We kicked off the 4th quarter with an outdoor schoolwide gathering to bless our new basketball, volleyball, and pickleball court.  This project was a student council initiative that hopefully has served an important lesson in life – anything is possible when you ask, work hard, and have faith! Longevity students Carter Lapitan and Jackson Hung, Class of 2022 were invited to shoot the first ball. Even Mrs. Rufo was able to make a shot to earn the students some extra time at recess!

Jesus said, “I am among you as he that serveth” (Luke 22:27). As true followers of Jesus, we are asked to serve others. Service is helping others who need assistance. Christlike service grows out of genuine love for the Savior and of love and concern for those whom He gives us opportunities and direction to help.

Our dynamite Construction team who donated their time, talents, and treasures, consisted of four men. Project Manager Mr. Sylvio Boucher, from Homeworks Construction. Scott Horiuchi,  and son, Luke Horiuchi, class of 2014 from H Pacific Construction, and lastly Alumni class of 1984, Mr. Kevin Muir, of Surface Shield Construction.

We would also like to thank our PTG who contributed to the court painting and lining.

We will also be forever grateful to these additional community volunteers and companies who worked side by side to help to make our dream turn into a reality.
