The Hawaii Catholic Schools Innovation award was presented to Mary Star of the Sea School on Friday, September 30. Dr. Helen Turner, Chaminade Professor, and Dr. Llewelyn Young, Hawaii Catholic Schools Superintendent were present to announce this special recognition to Curriculum Director, Mrs. Laci Hitchcock and to the entire MSOS Faculty. Dr. Turner describes the school as “amazing examples” and that the School’s Literacy project “is an inspiration!” Mahalo to our Kindergartners for singing a song for us too!
While providing a holistic learning environment, MSOS will continue to make literacy development a top priority. MSOS will host a parent workshop called “How to Raise Life-Long Readers” on Wednesday, November 9. Registration information will be shared with you after the Fall break.
