Students at MSOS participate in the call to help our friends in Tonga. Seizing upon the opportunity to encourage the students in Mary, Star of the Sea to become responsible citizens who demonstrate a spirit of service and social concern for our community, and a concern for global affairs, the student council launched a campaign to raise funds to help with the relief to Tonga. With a goal of $1,700.00, the student council issued a challenge to the rest of the school. The challenge was to turn their loose pennies into a donation for Tonga.
Over the week of February 14th, the student body of Mary Star of the Sea school raised over $4,000. The top class was 3B, who brought in a monstrous weeklong donation valued at over $700.00. The K1 class raised close to $700.00, and Class 2B raised just over $500.00.
Congratulations to the winning classes and stay tuned for the Grand Prize opportunity to dunk Principal, Rufo.
