Pretzel Making with the Principal

The season of Lent encourages us to simplify our lives, pray more and serve. Unbeknownst to many, the pretzel is a Lenten symbol of prayer and fasting and experiencing this hands on pretzel making exercise with the entire student body is one of the principal’s highlights of the school year. This annual pretzel making tradition took place on Tuesday,   March 11.   Students rolled their own dough and shaped it into a preztel, a symbol of praying arms. Students enjoyed solving puzzles and making Lenten crafts while waiting for their pretzels to bake. It didn’t take too long for the pretzels to disappear once they came out of the oven.
