Simple yet delicious! The season of Lent is a good time to remind us that too many distractions in our world can distract us from what is really important. The legend of the pretzel is a great way to teach this lesson and emphasize the importance of prayer in our world. Sharing the legend of the pretzel story and making pretzels with the students is one of Principal Rufo’s highlights of the school year. Kindergarten – 8th Grade students have been making pretzels in our cafeteria this week – students enjoyed the age-level activities and learning about the religious symbolism of a pretzel. Getting to eat their pretzel was the icing on the cake! Mahalo to our parent volunteers.
