Dr. Park

Dr. Park brings a unique blend of global experience, academic rigor, and infectious enthusiasm to every classroom.

Born and raised in South Korea, he is half Korean, half Swedish. He moved to Hawai‘i during his sophomore year at Mid-Pacific Institute. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston before discovering his true passion for education. He went on to complete a Doctor of Education at Chaminade University of Honolulu.

With 15 years of teaching experience in Catholic schools, Dr. Park has inspired students in math, science, robotics, and engineering.

When not in the classroom, he is an avid motorcycle enthusiast who explores the world on two wheels. He is a lifelong student of Taekwondo, holding a 4th-degree black belt, and a member of Team Bacon, a feral pig eradication unit. He has also modeled aloha wear for Cora Spearman Hawaii. His other pursuits are drawing and playing golf, which he credits with keeping him mentally sharp and physically balanced after days with energetic students.

Dr. Park’s wife is also an educator, and together they have two children, both over 30 years old, and a beloved old Chihuahua Terrier named Brown.
